Privacy Policy

Eggy ("we", "the app") is a speech-training app. We built it to need as little of your data as possible. There are no accounts, no ads, and no third-party analytics or tracking. This policy explains what is and isn't collected.

What we collect

• Speech transcripts (only when you use AI features). Your microphone audio is transcribed to text on your device. We never record, store, or transmit your audio. When you use AI Coaching or Talk with Eggy, only the resulting text transcript is sent to our coaching service to generate your feedback. It is not linked to your identity and is not used to profile or track you.
• Subscription status. Purchases are processed by Apple and managed by RevenueCat. We receive a pseudonymous identifier and whether your subscription is active — never your name or payment details.
• Device integrity. We use Apple App Attest to confirm requests come from the genuine app on a real device, to prevent abuse of the AI service. This verifies the app, not you, and carries no personal information.
• On-device data. Your progress, stats, settings, and cosmetics are stored locally on your device. They are not uploaded to us.

What we do NOT collect

• No name, email, phone number, or account credentials (there are no accounts).
• No location, contacts, photos, or device identifiers for advertising.
• No analytics SDKs, no advertising, no cross-app or cross-site tracking.

How transcripts are processed

To generate coaching feedback and conversation replies, transcript text is sent to Anthropic's API. Per Anthropic's API terms, this content is processed only to return a response and is not used to train their models. We do not retain your transcripts on our servers after your feedback is returned.

Third-party services

• Anthropic — generates coaching feedback and conversation replies from transcript text.
• RevenueCat — manages subscriptions.
• Apple — processes payments and provides App Attest.

Data retention

Transcripts are processed transiently to produce your feedback and are not stored by us afterward. On-device data remains on your device until you use "Reset all progress" in Settings or delete the app.

Children's privacy

Eggy is rated 4+ and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Your choices

• You can use the app's practice drills without AI features — in that case no transcript ever leaves your device.
• Reset all on-device data anytime via Settings → Reset all progress.
• Manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID account settings.

Security

All network requests use HTTPS. Access to the AI service is protected by Apple App Attest so it can only be used by the genuine app.

Changes

We may update this policy and will revise the date above when we do.
